Princess Charlene Foundation teaches lifesaving skills to Monaco school pupils
More than 70 Monaco school pupils took part in Water Safety Day at Larvotto Beach, learning essential lifesaving and water safety skills through workshops organised by the Princess Charlene Foundation.
More than 70 school pupils took part in Water Safety Day at Larvotto Beach this week, a hands-on initiative aimed at raising awareness of water safety and drowning prevention ahead of the summer season.

Organised by the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, the event brought together students from across the Principality for a series of practical workshops focused on swimming, rescue techniques and emergency response.
The activities were led by world-renowned freediver and Foundation ambassador Pierre Frolla, with support from the Monaco Sea Academy and the Monaco Red Cross.
Throughout the day, participants learned how to recognise dangers in and around the water, use rescue equipment and apply basic lifesaving skills, including CPR.
Beyond safety training, the initiative also promoted values such as teamwork, confidence and respect through sport.
Water Safety Day forms part of the Princess Charlene Foundation’s ongoing efforts to reduce drowning risks and equip young people with the knowledge and skills needed to stay safe around the water.
