The singer and Trudeau attended the premiere of Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris at the Tribeca Festival in New York on 8 June, marking their most public appearance since romance rumours first emerged last year.

Speaking at the event, Perry said she feels “very in love” and credited Trudeau with helping her feel more grounded during a challenging period in her life.

A relationship that has grown in the spotlight

Perry and Trudeau were first linked in July 2025 when they were spotted together in Montreal.

The pair later attended several public events, including Perry’s birthday celebrations in Paris, before making their red carpet debut this week.

Their relationship began shortly after Perry's split from actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares five-year-old daughter Daisy.

A new chapter

The singer also reflected on what she described as one of the most difficult years of her life, saying she had faced personal challenges but emerged feeling stronger and more grounded.

Now 41, Perry said she has learned to channel difficult experiences into creativity and personal growth, adding that she feels more settled than ever both personally and professionally.

The appearance at Tribeca not only celebrated Perry’s latest concert film but also offered fans a glimpse into a relationship she says has brought a new sense of balance to her life.
