Chelsea forwards Cole Palmer and João Pedro have made an unexpected appearance in a new short film by pop icon Madonna, in a crossover moment between football and music.

The pair feature in Confessions II - The Film, a 14-minute promotional video unveiled at the Tribeca Festival in New York before being released on YouTube.
In the film, the players appear briefly around six minutes in during a surreal scene involving Madonna.
Both players were notably absent from this summer’s World Cup squads, with Palmer missing out on England selection after an injury-hit season, while João Pedro was left out of Brazil’s squad despite a strong debut campaign at Chelsea.
The film also includes appearances from British actor Benedict Cumberbatch and forms part of Madonna’s upcoming album release, Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part II, due out in July.
Madonna, a known Chelsea supporter, has previously attended matches at Stamford Bridge and took part in the club’s kit launch earlier this year, highlighting her growing association with the Premier League side.
The unexpected collaboration adds a celebrity twist to what is already shaping up to be a high-profile summer for both football and entertainment.
